I am curious about how many elementary school libraries purchase classroom sets (approx. 20 copies of a title) out of library funds. With my small budget ($4000) which I must use to purchase everything except AV and Computer Equipment, it seems unfair to the students to buy that number of multiple copies. What is your policy/position on this? I know I need to serve all of my populations, but grade levels and teachers get budgets here as well, and it seems like they might purchase these sets out of those budgets. Thanks for your input.
