Here's a summary of the Survivor game (with thanks to Anne for the
info)

"Surviving theLibrary Media Center"

Grade levels 3-5

Students enter the LMC and sit at tables; each table is a tribe.
Students choose a name for their trible from a given list, and then
choose a challenge form the trunk. Each challenge is written on a
scroll and placed ionside an empty plastic bottle. Each tribe
goes about completeing teier challenge. When they complete the
challenge, the LMS gives them a token, and they select another
challenge. A challenge can also be a negative situation and tribes
would have to forfeit a token. The tribe with the most tokens wins a
small prize.

Sample clues....
A lizard ate the chicken you had won for a reward challenge.
Find a book on reptiles that will help you identify lizards on your
island.
You are lost on the island. What kind of book can you find that
may
have a map to help you? Write down in what section you found the
book.
At the next Tribal Council, you tell a story from another
country or a folk tale. Where do you find these types of books?
Your tribe has lost the contest and you have to babysit the
other tribe's children. Choose an easy book that the children will
like.
You left a book out in the rain. Lose a token.
When you were kicked off the island, you forgot to pack your
library book. Lose a token.

And so on.......Hope this helps. Sounds like it will take a lot of
prep time, but it should be worth it!
