I have a copyright question and I think I know the answer, but wanted to get an expert opinion. Scenario: You have a web page on the Internet and you are scanning magazine covers, posting screen caps from a recorded television show and posting articles out of newspapers and magazines BUT giving credit from where they came from, is this a copyright violation? You have also manipulated the photos and such to remove the magazine name and anything that would take away from the photo, BUT you have put your own little logo on everything so that if someone "steals" your stuff, they would have to manipulate it or post it on another site with your logo. There is also a "disclaimer" at the bottom saying that none of the characters or the pictures belong to you and anyone can take them for their personal use, BUT if you use them on another page you have to write for permission. I see this happening more and more. Is this a violation and is anyone caring?
