I wanted to post a query asking if any of our 14,000+ members are riding on
the [Des Moines]Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa. The
rollout from Sioux City is two weeks from Sunday.

From years past, there has always been a few avid bicyclists in our group
who cherish this ride, and I thought it would be excellent to do a hook up
on one of the days. Anita and Perry both have beautiful new public
libraries, and will be open during the days we roll through. I propose
meeting at one of those places, (or how about the juice bar in Cambridge
that was so popular on RAGBRAI XXIV, LOL?)

Finally, if anyone from Atlantic, Perry or Grinnell can offer an indoor
piece of carpeting to sleep on and a hot shower, my party of three adults
(my husband, myself and our female driver) is still looking for
accomodations for those three overnights. I can offer two double beds in
Iowa City (Coralville - Friday night) in return.

Look for Team LOBE - Librarians On Bikes Escaping, we're little, but we're
proud!
