SEC: Summer School question

A question has recently surfaced here about a teacher's right to use
accrued sick days or personal days from the regular school year during the
time they are teaching summer school.

Is anyone aware of any district policies or recent labor decisions that
address this question?

I am especially interested in NY state, but will be grateful with answers
from anyone.
