Oakland Schools is pleased to present
Taking a Byte Out of Hate: Understanding and Combating Extremism On-Line.
Hate groups and other advocates of discrimination and violence actively
exploit the Internet to spread their message.  View various sites,
understand their approach and how they target youth, and explore what
educators and others can do about it.

This half day session will be offered through the Oakland Schools
Professional Development Institute (PDI) on July 31, 2001 from 12:45 to
3:15.  Don Cohen, former Director of the Detroit Anti-Defamation League will
present.  The cost is $30.00.  Don't miss this opportunity to find out what
