Re: GEN: From the classroom into the library

I am sure that being a teacher will help you be a better librarian.  My
classroom experience before library school consisted of about 100 days of
substitute teaching in a wide variety of classrooms.  That and being a parent
to three children has helped me to be a better librarian.  So has our
families travel.  Every life experience we have can help us do a better job,
if we are willing and able to learn from them.  The lack of certain
experiences does not make anyone necessarily less of an asset to their
position!
