SHARE: Books as gifts for teachers

2 more hours until summer . . .!
I just wanted to share another idea that has earned me several books from =
my Fall 2001 order! A parent came in about 2 weeks ago and asked if I had =
a list of books that I wanted because she wanted to buy books for the =
library in honor of her child's teachers. I printed out my shopping cart =
from Follett and gave her a copy. She bought 3 books (she ordered them =
from Amazon.com with my school as the *ship to* address) and then =
apparently told several other parents about how easy it had been to buy =
quality gifts for the teacher and the school. Within 5 days I have had 10 =
more books purchased for me by parents in honor of their child's teachers!
The teachers are happy (I mean, how many mugs or tote bags can you really =
have?). The parents are happy (I made it very easy for them). The kids are =
happy (they get to come in and see their names on bookplates in these =
books next year). And I am ecstatic - I have 13 books coming in that won't =
affect my budget!
