For anyone interested: University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Information Studies ASSISTANT PROFESSOR The School of Information Studies (SOIS) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. The successful candidate will teach courses and conduct research in one or more of the following areas: multimedia systems, instructional/educational technology. The selected applicant will teach courses in the School's undergraduate B.S. program in Information Resources, graduate M.L.I.S. program, and multidisciplinary doctoral program in Information Science. A completed Ph.D. by the hiring date in Library and Information Science, Instructional/Multimedia Technologies, or a related field is required as is demonstrated ability in research and teaching. Competitive salary for an academic year (9 month) appointment, plus additional compensation for possible summer teaching and generous fringe benefits. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is a major university committed to academic excellence. It is one of the two doctoral degree-granting institutions in the multi-campus University of Wisconsin system, and has a student enrollment of over 23,000. The School of Information Studies offers programs leading to a nationally accredited Masters in Library and Information Science, a B. The School has a strong research faculty, 400+ students, and state-of-the-art information technology laboratories. UWM is located in the cultural, commercial, and educational hub of the state in a pleasant residential neighborhood overlooking Lake Michigan.
