LM_NET: Library Media Networking
Dear All,
As I have been going through my mail recently, I have seen several
questions about using PowerPoint. A recent NY Times Tech article had a
quote from a friend and mentor on the use of PowerPoint among educators.
When I took my first PowerPoint class a colleague gave me a good piece
of advice that I shall pass along: get an easy to understand PowerPoint
guide book. I did purchase one put out by the Que company and have found
it invaluable when I am stumped and need quick answers. I now purchase
this type of guide book for other software products like Front Page and
have used them many times.
Another thing I discovered about PowerPoint is that you don't need to
have that program installed on your computer to view a presentation. You
can go to the Microsoft download page at:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/
Once there you can use the drop down menu to find the version of
PowerPoint you need and then download a PowerPoint Viewer for free.
