I am taking a trip through Scandinavia in July for which I will receive graduate credit. I must keep a journal a create a lesson or project at the completion. I have planned to make a video tape which I just bought editing equipment for and now it occurs to me that my idea may violate copyright. I am aware that I may ask the publisher's permission but I am not sure who to ask. My plan is to take Linnea (the doll) from the well-known "Linnea in Monet's Garden", "Linnea's Almanac" with me and tape her visiting the various sites and my narration may be in her voice. The dolls are produced by Determined Productions in San Francisco. My question is do I need permission to use the dolls in my production from Determined ? And are the books at all involved in this issue ? Cheryl Sturgeon Elem. Library/Media Spec.
