TARGET: Alexandria inventory help

Has anyone done a noninventoried item report (i.e. missing books) ?
Ver. 5.02
I have the portable scanner and did a few sample shelves. I successfully
downloaded the barcodes and imported them to the transaction log..... there
were a few unreadable barcodes and zeros which would "clear" the screen.
Sometimes it would say "barcode ignored."
I tried, then, to make a report of noninventoried items and only got a list
of what I scanned. I remembered to set a date range in the past.
Tech support says they are not familiar with 5.02, so the solution is to
upgrade. I can't do it so close to the end of the year. Certainly, SOMEONEout
there has done an inventory report on 5.02???
