2001 AASL Conference Proposals

Has anyone heard from AASL regarding their Conference proposal? Their web
site says that "Speakers will be notified via e-mail of their proposal's
status the week of February 8, 2001."  I interpreted that to mean that you
would hear if you've been accepted OR rejected. I tried contacting their
office nearly three weeks ago, and have yet to hear anything from them. I
hate to pester them - so I just wondered what other have heard. Thanks! Beth
