I have a request from a counselor as follows: "I am particularly interested in books about people who have overcome handicaps. I'm currently working with a young man who has some pretty severe medical diagnoses and is very depressed and hopeless about his situation. I think he's ripe for bibliotherapy, but I have only found one book that addresses what I'd like him to look at. That book is Still Me, by Christopher Reeve. The problem is that his reading level is probably not up to this book, even though he's in high school. Thanks very much for any help you can give me." Does anyone out there have recommended titles that could be of help? Thanks!
