Thanks to all that responded so quickly.

Three responded that Brodart furniture holds up nicely.

Two recommended Buckstaff chairs.

Good advise re. laminated tops:  be sure the texture doesn't show
fingerprints.

Another aha...be sure to check local office furniture stores as they charge
no gigantic shipping and handling fees.
