Reading Motivation Techniques

Dear LM_NETTERS:

I am hoping to get alot of help on this one.  I am a
library student in the masters degree program at
Queens College and a full time teacher in charge of
library at a K-4 school in the NYC Board of Education
in the Bronx.  I am working on an independent study
project to complete my degree work on reading
motivation techniques in use in school libraries.  I
am focus on grades K - 8.  I have already looked at
published research and checked the archives on LM_NET.

The final phase is to find out from all of you out
there in the real world what you are doing in your
libraries.  How are you motivating your students to
read more?  What techniques are you using and how are
they working with your students?  Don't forget to
include the grade levels that you are working with and
your general location (city and state, or country if
applicable).

Thanks in advance.  I will try my best to post a hit
if there is interest in one.
