GEN: Holiday (or Vacation) and LM_NET Nomail

Dear Colleagues,

If you are planning to be away from your e-mail for holidays, Nomail will
prevent your mailbox from filling up (and possibly resulting in the
Listserv software automatically dropping you from the group due to
bouncebacked e-mail.)

* * * *   Temporarily Stopping (and Restarting) Mail From LM_NET * * * *

If you want to stop (then restart later) receiving mail from LM_NET for a
period of time, all you have to do is send a specific message to the
listserv computer which handles LM_NET mail.

Send the message to this address:  listserv@listserv.syr.edu

In the body of the message, on the first line, type the following:
   set lm_net nomail

To restart your LM_NET mail, send to the same address, the following:
   set lm_net mail

Please note that you may be required to confirm this change in your
settings by Listserv, which is a protective measure so that others cannot
change your status.
