Thanks for all of your input and helpful suggestions. Here is just a
summary of what I received.

One suggestion was to visit the nearest Borders or Barnes and Nobles.
Wouldn't I love to but the nearest is a 2 hour drive away. And believe me
when ever I get near one I VISIT. My husbnd just loves it, Not! Oh well.

Another suggestion was to visit the local library and this I do as we are a
very small community and we try to coordinate our ordering so that we don't
duplicate what we offer, or at least we try to spread out our funds as far
as they can go.

A third suggestion was to survey the staff and of course I do this too with
mixed results. They want them but then never use them or I subscribe for
next year and then the requesting teacher takes a job elsewhere. What can
you do....

Suggested also was just be sure it is listed in Wilson's Childrens Catalog.
I think this is a good idea but at the k-3 level we really don't do too
much research so I am looking to add titles they just want too look at,
something that grabs and holds their attention.

At this point I plan to discontinue Girls Life at the K-3 level(we had it
as a holdover from when we were a k-5 building and even then I was
rethinking it)
Also I do know that Zillions is nolonger published. I just didn't have it
crossed off th list I keep in my office(Oh well so much for keeping a list
handy if it isn't even right)

Here is a list of the titles suggested in no particular order
Cricket
Ladybug
Spider
Time for Kids
Soccer Jr.
Highlights
New Moon (revieved several recommendations)
Dream Girl
Osyssey
Kids Discover
Upfront
Crinkles
Footsteps
Your big back yard
Disney Adventure(some caution about avdertising for Disney)

If any one could give me any more info about New Moon and Dream Girl I
would appreciate it. What age k-3 or 4-8? any thing else you think
important.

Thanks again for all of your help. Pati
