This question is for MLA style experts. A student in a tenth grade English class had points taken off a research paper because she used two spaces after a period at the end of sentence. When she questioned the English teacher about it, he said that in the MLA style that only one space is used after a period. The student went to the Business teachers who told her that two spaces after a period is proper. I agreed with the Business teachers but the English teacher got mad at the student for questioning him. Now we are all curious as to who is right. Anybody know the answer to this one?
