LM_NET: Library Media Networking
The one thing I love the most about my job is the freedom to change
something that looks like it is set in stone. There is no law that tells
us where to catalog any given item and what makes librarianship is the
pondering of just what placement would be best for our patrons. It
doesn't happen very often but oh what a great feeling I get when I can
change a CIP to suit myself. Sometimes I go a little crazy and change the
subject headings too! I have even found mistakes in the CIP that aren't
even a difference of opinion, they are just plain wrong. After all, we
just what people to find it and use it.
