their students in the class room before they get to the media center thus
saving time away from class and giving the teacher a better  opportunity

We should  always do a periodic backup of any program  we run whether on
line or by individual computer ( if any upgrades or changes have been made
to  said programs).

I gather from your last paragraph that you don't have an automated system
at all.  If you have computer automation  as regards the catalog only.
(OPAC)..you receive floppy disk  with each book order which takes  just
moments to load to the system  and there it is available to all right
then.  (therefore don't load the disk until the new books are shelved!).
