Paula Shipley du Feu, I have a selection of map sites at our school library website: http://www.ima.egreen.wednet.edu/library_resources/kidresource.html (someday I'm going to have to rearrange things so that is shorter!) A couple from there that may work for you: http://www.geographic.org/maps/ http://www.odci.gov/cia/publications/factbook/docs/ref.html http://www.odci.gov/cia/publications/factbook/indexgeo.html The first site has maps in Blackmaster, coloring, and other styles. I was having some problems getting site loaded last couple of days. This was on Netscape 4.7 Mac 7200s. Didn't have time to check newer machines or PC or Explorer. The latter two are at the CIA Factbook site. http://www.odci.gov/cia/publications/factbook/index.html Which is a good one to keep available for almanac and encyclopedia type questions. -- Robert Eiffert, Librarian at Image Elementary Vancouver WA http://www.ima.egreen.wednet.edu/library_resources/kidresource.html beiffert@groupwise.egreen.wednet.edu > From: Paula Shipley du Feu <dufep@GULLIVERSCHOOLS.COM> > Reply-To: dufep@gulliverschools.com > Date: Thu, 3 May 2001 08:33:07 -0400 > To: LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU > Subject: Lost: Great map site > > Do any of you get so much mail, and find so many good sites from peers on the > list, and try to keep logical track of things, but when push comes to shove > you can't find the site you were SURE you put in your bookmarks under maps? > And this on top of trying to do our jobs? > > Somewhere, and I'm pretty sure it was on LM NET, someone had found a great > site > for maps, printable type for classroom use.
