Hello all! I've been asked by a teacher to suggest a fiction title suitable for 13/14 year old students (with a reading age of 10ish) dealing with the slave triangle of British ships kidnapping slaves from Africa and taking them to the Caribbean, sometimes via Britain. I've given her Coram Boy to read herself, (but I think these students would find that book too difficult to read independently, she might read it to the whole class instead) but I wondered if you people might be able to suggest something a little bit more accessible to these children with a lower reading age. Thanks very much for your help, Cathy Wright RNIB New College WORCESTER UK wright@rnibncw.demon.co.uk =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
