Dear 'Netters, I know that this has been discussed before, but I did not find anything in the archives that answered my specific question. We are looking for a filter or blocking software that can be installed on our proxy server, but we want to be able to excluded certain computers on our network from being filtered, preferably by IP address. We would also like to be able to edit what is filtered or blocked. Do you use any software like this? If so, what is it? Do you like it? Does it slow down computer performance noticeably? On a separate issue, we are currently using a program called Altiris Vision to monitor our lab. Do you know of a program that both filters and monitors? Does it let you choose which computers are filtered and which are monitored? Thank you for your help. I will gladly post a hit of the responses. Thanks, Yapha ******************************************************** * Yapha Nussbaum Mason Brentwood School * * Librarian Los Angeles, CA * * Yapha_Mason@bwscampus.com * * http://www.bwscampus.com/west/library/ * ******************************************************** =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
