Target: Circulation desk design

We are building a brand new school this year.  The circulation desk,
according to the floor plan, will be shaped like an arc and almost 17
feet from end to end.  At this point, the design doesn't include any
shelves, drawers, cabinets, or other storage areas, and I've been
told to make recommendations.  So ... if you have any ideas on
designing the perfect circulation desk, please send them to me.  The
only specification is that it has to be shaped like a 17 foot arc. :)
