Dear Folks, This morning a kindergarten teacher approached me and was upset that her son (a student here) had checked out the book "Bright and Early Thursday Morning" by Don and Audrey Wood. She could not give specific reasons, she only said the book made her feel uneasy. I wondered if anyone else has it in their collection, and if so, for what ages would you recommend it? I haven't found any really positive reviews on it. It is a strange book, not like the rest of the Woods' books. It apparently was selected by the previous librarian. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have chosen it for our preschool/kindergarten myself, just because the humor is over their heads. Any wisdom to share? I'm having one of those days.
