New, Improved SUNLINK Features Debut Today!

We're celebrating at SUNLINK!!!

Check it out!  SUNLINK has added features to help support reading and
literacy programs more directly.  In addition, batch downloading of MARC
records is now available to save media specialists time and money!
(Sorry, batch downloading of MARC records is NOT available for schools
outside the state of Florida or for Florida schools that are not SUNLINK
schools.)

NEW  New and Improved SUNLINK Search Features!


     The SUNLINK search screen has been changed to allow for
     searching by reading grade and interest levels along with any
     of the other search fields (e.g. ‘Quick Search’).
     Approximately 25% of all books in SUNLINK now have reading
     grade and interest levels added to the database records.

     Lexile Levels , used by many districts, are also searchable on
     the new SUNLINK.  Approximately 27,000 titles have had Lexile
     reading levels added to the book records.

     We have also added data supporting two of the most popular
     reading programs in the state: Accelerated Reader and Reading
     Counts.  Each of these programs have approximately 20,000
     books with their specific reading levels and point values
     indexed for search on SUNLINK.

     Special thanks to Brodart Automation and Follett Software
     Company for working together to make this happen!  Awesome!

NEW  Batch Downloading of MARC Records now Available.


     SUNLINK now allows you to batch download MARC records! Find
     the records you want to download, then click on the ‘Download
     MARC Record’ button.  Follow the on-screen instructions after
     that — it is easy!

If you are AASL today in Indy, check out SUNLINK for yourself in the
Exploratorium today.  Carol McWilliams of the SUNLINK staff and SUNLINK
Advisory Board Member Pat Dedicos from Duval County Schools will be
there to show it off!  Stop by and say hello!
