Good morning LM_NETters!

In the last couple of days I have received a lot of odd messages from
persons unknown to me that contain strange attachments that I do not
open. I think I am safe in assuming that these folks are unaware that
their computers are sending out the latest virus. I am also guessing
that these people are lm_netters, but I have no way to confirm that
guess.

Here's what I have been doing, but I don't know if there is any
point--I'd love some advice on this! I have been replying to the
message, basically saying "I don't know you, but your computer just send
me this message with a strange attachment, and your computer probably
has a virus. You may want to virus scan it immediately." Naturally, I
delete the attachment before sending the reply.

Is this warning worth sending to folks, or am I spitting in the wind?
(as Jim Croce said in his song long ago)

My computer is a Mac, and my virus software is up to date.
