These are family and church favorites.  Guaranteed that someone will ask
for the recipe!

Almond Tea

2 c. water
2 T. instant tea
2 c. water
1 - 1 =BD c. sugar
1 large can frozen lemonade, thawed
2 quart cold water
1 T. vanilla
1 T. almond extract
Mix 2 c. water with instant tea.=20
Boil 2 c. water with sugar till completely dissolved, about 5 minutes.
When cool, add other ingredients.
Heat and stir before serving.
Tea bags and sugar substitute can be used.=20

East Texas Pound Cake

4 sticks oleo or butter
4 c. sugar
12 eggs
4 c. flour
Soften and cream butter in LARGE bowl.
Gradually add sugar.
Add eggs one at a time.
Slowly add flour, beating thoroughly each time.
Bake at 325 degrees for 1 =BD hours or till toothpick comes out clean.
Cool in pan for 30 minutes before turning out.
Freezes well.

Easy Blueberry Dessert

Make by layer:
2 c. crushed graham cracker crumbs
=BD c. chopped pecans
=BD c. powdered sugar
1 stick melted oleo
Mix and press into 9x13" pan.
Beat together:
8 oz. softened cream cheese
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
2 t. lemon juice
Pour over crust and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Cool completely.
Spread 1 can blueberry pie filling.
Cover with 10 oz. Cool Whip.
Serves 12-16.

Caramel Corn

2 quarts freshly popped warm popcorn
=BD c. packed brown sugar
=BC c. oleo
2 T. dark corn syrup
=BC t. salt
=BC t. baking soda
=BD t. vanilla
Place popcorn in a 4-6 quart microwave safe utensil.
Combine sugar, oleo, syrup and salt in 1 quart glass batter bowl.
Microwave on high 1 =BD minutes.
Stir.
Microwave on high 2 - 2 =BD minutes.
Add baking soda and vanilla.
Stir well.
Pour mixture immediately over popcorn, stirring to coat evenly.
Microwave on high 2 minutes, stirring midway through.
Turn out onto a piece of waxed paper or foil to cool.=20
Break into pieces and store in airtight container.

Tortilla Soup

1 chicken or 4 chicken breasts
1 large onion, chopped
1 bell pepper chopped
4 cans stewed tomatoes
1 c. picante
1 package frozen corn (optional)
Boil chicken in 4-6 cups water.
Remove chicken, cool, and cut up.
Add rest of ingredients to broth.
Simmer till chicken is cut up.
Add chicken.
Serve over tortilla chips and cheese.
Garnish with avocado, if desired.=20
