Dear Friends, We are having a problem at our school with student monitors, especially in = the library. Right now, monitors that help out in guidance and in = individual classrooms can receive a "teaching assistant" credit (1/2 = unit). By making the experience a "for credit class" the teacher or = counselor has more authority over the students and they seem to take it = more seriously. We would like to implement a program where library = monitors receive credit as well. I need to know if anyone out there has = such a program, and if so, what kinds of things are the students required = to do? I need some "meat" to take my case to the next level. =20 Thanks, Christine Harley, Media Specialist North Charleston High School North Charleston, South Carolina=20 christine_harley@charleston.k12.sc.us =20 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
