TAR: Call of the Wild: Alaska resources

As a joint-use facility, we try our best to support the local middle school.
The library tech who runs that library phones needing some help with
resources for the following project:

An 8th grade teacher is having students research various parts of Alaska's
history as a supplement to the study of the novel. Of course, she didn't
warn either of our libraries or collaborate prior to shipping kids off to
find out about the Yukon Gold Rush, the Russian period in Alaska, and the
purchase of Alaska. We are doing alright with the indigenous population
resources; could some people help us by recommneding print resources we (the
middle school and the joint-use library) should purchase to support this
project.
