Re: virus

I seem to have missed something.  I understand a virus has been sent.  What
exactly did the message with the virus say (subject, from etc). I have seen
several remarks about a  blank e-mail with the unopenable attachment. What
exactly does the virus do?? How would this effect my computer?  I thought the
listserv screened for viruses.
