GEN: Need Book Title

A teacher in my building is looking for the title of a picture book.  The
main character is a precocious girl  who tries to fry eggs on a hot sidewalk
(it's so hot you could fry an egg!)

That's all the information she gave me.  Is anyone familiar with this book?
