REF: Salem Witchcraft Hysteria Theory

We are seeking a resource for the witchcraft hysteria theory which proposed
that the hysteria may have been caused by bad grain (in the food sources
such as bread).  Seems I recall this was in the news within the last year
or so but I'm having trouble finding a source.  Thank you.
