Dear LM Netters, A teacher in our school has just had a miscarriage. As you can imagine, this is devastating for her and her husband as they have been trying to have a baby for a long time. We, as a staff are not sure how to handle this. She has already, through her husband, requested that we not send her flowers. She is quite devastated as she had an ultrasound and saw the baby's heartbeat a couple of weeks ago. This is so heartwrenching! They are a wonderful couple and I would like to know if any of you have any ideas as to what we could do, send or say that could help in some small way. I can relate to her because my husband and I tried for 13 years before we were blessed with one child through the Artificial Insemination program (I'm 40 years old with a six year old - most of my friend's kids are off to college!). Does anyone have any suggestions? Poems? Anita Nagel, Librarian Margaret Wooding School Redcliff, AB.
