TARGET: MID novel where cultures collide?

Hello,

I would appreciate suggestions for novels appropriate for seventh grade
featuring one of the following scenarios:

cultures colliding
one individual or group encounters culture shock
cross cultural contact.

I have recommended one of my recent favorites,_Go and come back_ by
Abelove, but that was not a "home run".
