LM_NET: Library Media Networking

Hello,
        I've had 18 responses so far regarding noise in the library.  There
are many interesting ideas and techniques that are worth sharing.  The
tolerance for noise in general is also coming into the discussion.  I'll
post a hit, but it will take a while to sort through all the suggestions.
Feel free to jump in.
