ELEM: Fav 2000-2001 picture books?

I need to beef up our picture book collection with my next order and was
wondering what have been some of your favorite picture books published this
last year?  I'm looking for books that weren't award winners as we already
have most of those.  Can you think of any new books a library shouldn't be
without?  I'll post a hit.
