I was late in responding but want to recommend to you the University of Illinois' LEEP program which is enabling me (working full-time mother of 4 kids under 12!) to get my master's while residing in Indiana. Upside: One of the best SLIS schools in the nation, full master's degree through synchronous online classes, cutting edge technology, excellent professors and colleagues to work with, and rigorous academically (see below also :-) ). Downside: Paying out of state tuition since I'm not an Illinois resident and very rigorous academically (I don't think I've ever worked this hard!) when I can't devote full-time effort because of family and work. It's been an outstanding experience (I hope to finish Aug. 2002 - started July, 2000) though I'm going a little crazy right now with taking cataloging and collection development during the same semester!
