Re: Noise in the Library

Tell me about it! The library at the middle school where I work has no doors
to lock, partial walls and no ceiling. It was built in the 70's (as you
probably guessed) and the entire school was designed in the "open concept".
For a year and a half now, the classrooms are all being remodeled to get
walls and doors...however, there is no room in the budget for the media
center. I too wonder about the sanity of a person who would design a library
without a ceiling, no doors to lock to secure our collection, and only
partial walls. Noise in this library is simply a part of life.  We just try
to keep it down to reasonable level.
