Hi Everyone-- I've been hunched over my computer for days getting ready for my upcoming BER conferences, making my lists, checking them twice. The other day, as I was writing up my comments about Joanna Cole's swell new Ms. Frizzle's Adventures: Ancient Egypt (Scholastic, 2001), I remembered my favorite wacky Ancient Egypt song, Steve Martin's King Tut. (Does anyone remember his hilarious production number on Sat. Night Live 20 years or so back? Yikes, do the years fly by...) Alas, I can't come up with a tape of it, and I'd love to play it on the cassette recorder as I introduce the book and get everyone up to dance for a few seconds. If you have a copy of the tape you could send me or lend me or you could tell me where I can get one in the next week, I would be tickled pink. Thanks-- Judy Freeman Children's Literature Consultant "Book Talk" Columnist, Instructor Magazine 65 North Sixth Avenue Highland Park, NJ 08904 732-572-5634 BKWSSF@aol.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
