ELEM: VanAllsburg activities

Hello!

I have a fourth grade teacher who is currently doing an author study on Chris
VanAllsburg.  She is specifically looking for vocabulary and comprehension
activities as well as a small project for the following books:

        _The Wretched Stone_
        _The Witches Broom_
        _The Sweetest Fig_
        _Bad Day at Riverbend_

She has a teacher resource book about Chris VanAllsburg, but it doesn't
include activities for these books.  We have also searched the internet.
We've found one that suggests activities for _The Sweetest Fig_ but other
than that, we've come up empty.  Does anybody have ideas or resources that
might help us?   TIA!
