Let's set the scene: summer driver's ed, 14 and 15 year old students. Teacher
is discussing the way brakes on a car work (a necessary bit of knowledge, I
think). He mentions the word "friction" and asks for other examples of
"friction". Young man raises his hand -- "I can think of two. The library has
the friction section and the non-friction section."

(And to think this young man will soon be gracing the streets of our fair city
with his driving prowess!)

Oh, well!!
