Hi! I am a lateral entry school librarian at a Middle School in North Carolina. I have a degree in Teaching with Internet Technologies and I am the school webmaster as well. My principal tells me that she is a librarian (she got an ALA-Approved MLS maybe 20 years ago) but that I am a technologist. I don't have the impression that she means that as something in my favor. Can someone share their thoughts on what the difference is? What would a librarian have that an imformation technologist wouldn't have? And visa-versa. Thank you for any thoughts.
