GEN: need state e-pals

Dear colleagues,
        I will be doing a 4-month long research project on States
(using almanac, atlas, encyclopedia, internet, etc.) with my 5th
graders (3 classes).  The students spend their 30-minute library time
each week working on the research, then in the spring they take all
the information they've gathered back to their classrooms and the
teachers have them create reports and projects to show what they've
learned, and we hold a "State Fair" for the school.  This year I'd
love it if each student could have an e-pal in their selected state
to correspond with over the months, mostly to learn what life is like
in their state--what holidays are being celebrated, where they are
going on vacation, what they are studying in school, etc.  If you are
interested in pairing some students with mine for this project,
please email me directly.  I'd like to begin in Dec. or January.
