In my neck of the woods, our students are all doing writing portfolios, and for many of them, a persuasive piece is required. Many of my teachers are requesting books that are persuasive in nature and I only have 2 really good standbys. One is Judith Viorst's "Earrings" and the other is Lois Grambling's "Can I Have a Stegosaurus Mom . . . ". I could really use some help in coming up with some other suggestions, so if you can think of anything else, please pass them my way and I'll be glad to post a hit!
