TARGET: SEC: Music textbooks

Our music department is looking at purchasing textbooks for three classes, =
however the books seem to be written at a college level or elementary =
level.  Can anyone recommend high school appropriate textbooks for the =
following classes?

Music Appreciation =AF the music of different countries as well as =
studying the history of Western music. (classical, rock, jazz, country, =
etc.)
Jazz Survey =AF more in-depth with each period of jazz. =20
Music Theory =AF mostly analyzing and writing music.
