I am a new elementary librarian in a public school. While reviewing the Easy section in my library I noticed a huge discrepancy in books: * Fiction and non-fiction * large font (24 or larger) * small font (8) * five to six paragraphs on a page with 6 grade vocabulary * one sentence on a page with kindergarten vocabulary. * most have 32 pages some have more * some have large pictures on every page-others have a picture every few pages * some are "Chapter" books This seems to be an unorganized way to have books to shelve. Do any of you have guidelines of do's and don'ts for an Easy section?
