My adminstrator has suggested (demanded) that I take the library to the classroom by becoming a resource person for the teacher. When they are teaching earthquakes, I am to take books to the classroom and help the students use them in the classroom. This is to occur when I don't have classes coming to the library for the usual booktalks and research classes. I only have study lab two periods a day (during lunch and recess) out of nine periods and so the administration feels I need to make sure I am using my time to teach. I am to present this idea to the faculty with my best "salesmanship" ability in working order. I will do what my bosses want. But do you have any thoughts for discussion? Does anyone know where my admin came up with this idea???
