Hello everyone. I'm both an MLS student at Syracuse and an instructional aid in an elementary library in Central Virginia. We discovered today that the 15,000+ books in our library are coated in mildew, hopefully, mostly on the covers. It seems the carpet wasn't properly extracted when it was steam-cleaned this summer and the mildew has taken over. Has anyone else had this problem or do you know of a solution other than time and handling? We really don't want to discard and don't have the budget to replace such a large collection. Help?
